Atlanta is the 22nd least-walkable city in the nation, according to a Web site that measures walkability.Walkscore.com ranked the largest 40 cities in the nation on a scale of zero to 100 based on how easy it is to live a “car-lite” lifestyle. Atlanta, at number 22, scored 52 points. According to the Web site, cities that scored between 50-69 were "Somewhat Walkable -- Some stores and amenities are within walking distance, but many everyday trips still require a bike, public transportation, or car."

Funny how I often think of what it must be like to not need a car, and then this article surfaces. Guess I'm not the only one tired of paying for gas and car upkeep, as well as dealing with traffic.
